"If they are not careful, one day, some clients are going to wake up and realize that the new media revolution has passed them by. By then, it will be too late."

"For me the 'golden rule' applies to client relationships: I attempt to provide our clients the same level of customer service I expect to receive when I'm the client."

b. Cary, NC. Raised…Cary, NC, an unprecedented claim in this region of transplants. Chose to stay, attend UNC and join the workforce, first in government, then law, now marketing. Based on that career path, concept of “honesty” was abandoned long ago.  Loves Raleigh’s balance of small town/big city in much the same way Andy Taylor admired the complementary traits of both Mayberry and Mt. Pilot.

First stung by false advertising when Mrs. Butterworth commercials duped her into believing the syrup bottle would actually gesture and talk.  These days, sees Weight Watchers' "Hungry" monster and SoyJoy's "inter-office battle" spots as effective examples of metaphors making the point.

Passionate about UNC sports and culture. Admits to playing piano and belting out songs, but only did so when she noticed the office had no piano.  Ponders auditioning for next season of “American Idol” while she’s still young enough.

Forced to come up with five areas of unqualified expertise, Marie responded with the following:

  • History and evolution of the Ford Mustang (can you tell she owns one--a convertible, no less)
  • Holiday/event/tailgate-appropriate cooking (quick, what's the most ham-centric occasion?)
  • UNC lore (as long as you stick to the Chapel Hill campus)
  • Gift selection and wrapping (the rest of us just default to cash and Sunday comics)
  • French/Parisian culture (that semester abroad has gone a long way)
